Mental Stimulation For Dogs

5-10 minutes of mental stimulation for a dog equates to the level of exhaustion from a 30 minute walk. Getting their brain ticking over is an awesome way to promote their development and beyond learning tricks, enrichment activities are a great tool to achieve this.

There is a whole suite of enrichment activities for a whole range of purposes. Some are used to have certain breeds fulfil their natural instincts and some are used to build reward around food if you find they’re struggling to eat. They’re useful to keep dogs occupied when you leave the house or have an important work call and act as a stress reliever as well.

Examples of enrichment activities are puzzles, Kongs, sniff and search, snuffle mats and many more.

If you want more information about the uses of enrichment activities for specific breeds or circumstances, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
